Dylan and Riz’s wedding on May 2nd, 2026 was a beautifully intimate celebration, filled with natural charm, heartfelt moments, and a sense of ease that carried throughout the entire day.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Morris Arboretum, the couple fully embraced the beauty of their surroundings. The natural landscape did much of the work, with soft, simple florals enhancing, rather than competing with the setting. The result was a day that felt organic, effortless, and incredibly romantic.
The morning began with Dylan and Riz getting ready, surrounded by their closest family and friends, creating a calm and joyful energy that set the tone for everything to come. One of the sweetest moments of the day followed during their first look, set beneath a beautiful Katsura tree. Riz had been hoping Dylan might get emotional, but in a perfect twist, she was the one who started tearing up first. It was a genuine, lighthearted moment that perfectly captured their dynamic.
The ceremony itself was deeply personal, officiated by a close friend who delivered a meaningful and heartfelt message. With thoughtful vows and a warm, intimate atmosphere, it was a moment that felt truly reflective of who Dylan and Riz are as a couple.
Guests then enjoyed a perfect outdoor cocktail hour in the Rose Garden, taking in the incredible weather and the peaceful beauty of the space. As the evening continued, the reception carried that same sense of connection and celebration. A slideshow of the couple’s photos played throughout the night, giving guests a glimpse into their journey together and adding another layer of personalization to the experience.
Throughout it all, Dylan and Riz remained exactly who they are - calm, kind, and effortlessly joyful. Their bubbly personalities and genuine warmth made the entire day feel welcoming and full of love.
As the night went on, the energy shifted into full celebration mode. The dance floor came alive, and by the end of the night, guests were belting out iconic millennial hits together; a highlight being “Welcome to the Black Parade” that had everyone singing along at the top of their lungs. It was the kind of ending that perfectly captured the spirit of the day: fun, nostalgic, and completely unforgettable.
Behind the Scenes: Teamwork & Going the Extra Mile
Behind the scenes, the day ran incredibly smoothly thanks to a strong and collaborative vendor team. Every vendor was attentive, prepared, and fully in sync, creating a seamless experience from start to finish.
The O.M.Gee Events team played a key role in bringing everything together. Assistant Alyssa handled the DIY décor setup with care and precision while Laura ensured guests were transported smoothly, coordinating shuttles and keeping everything on schedule at the hotel.
At the end of the night, the team jumped into action once again. With a quick turnaround needed, they packed up all décor and personal items in under 20 minutes. Carrying everything up two flights of stairs to the family’s truck so the couple and their loved ones could head out without worry. It was a true team effort and a perfect example of going above and beyond to support the couple.
Dylan and Riz’s wedding was a reminder that when you combine a beautiful setting, meaningful moments, and a strong team behind the scenes, the result is something truly special.
Congratulations Dylan & Riz!
A Note from Dylan & Riz,
“Allie and her team were ESSENTIAL for our day! She took time to meet and get to know us prior to our big day so she understood exactly what we needed. Allie got our timeline down, communicated with all of the vendors the day of, and kept us on schedule so we could enjoy our wedding fully. The team was so kind and warm, incredibly patient when we couldn't figure out some last minute decor items and just so delightful to be around. If you're considering getting a coordinator, look no further than O.M.Gee events!”
